How to Integrate Entry & Closing Loop Coils with a Barrier System

Loop coils play a crucial role in automating barrier systems by detecting vehicles and ensuring smooth entry and exit. Proper installation ensures efficiency, safety, and reliability.

Step-by-Step Installation Guide

  1. Determine the Placement
    • Identify the best locations for entry and exit loop coils based on traffic flow.
    • Ensure they are positioned in the correct spots where vehicles naturally stop.
  2. Cut the Loop Slot
    • Use a concrete saw to cut a shallow groove (around 3-5 cm deep).
    • The slot should match the size of the loop coil to ensure a secure fit.
  3. Lay the Loop Wire
    • Carefully place the induction loop wire into the groove, ensuring it sits firmly.
    • Avoid twisting or overlapping the wires to maintain accurate detection.
  4. Seal the Slot
    • Use a high-quality sealant to protect the loop wire from moisture, wear, and environmental damage.
    • Allow the sealant to dry properly before proceeding.
  5. Connect to the Barrier System
    • Wire the loop detector to the barrier gate control system.
    • Test the connection by driving a vehicle over the coil and monitoring its response.
